I think you HAVE to make them (at least as Batman and Robin) have an overall good relationship, one where Bruce is supportive and caring of Dick, or the entire concept behind them, behind Dick's character even, fails 2/2

I think *some* people, including authors, forget that the very foundation of Bruce and Dick's dynamic is Bruce wanting to save Dick from going through what he went through as a traumatised child 1/2
