Just Watched the movie Project Hail Mary. Best Movie I’ve seen in years. Original, not a sequel or remake, great characters, a meaningful plot/moral lesson, and great visuals. I would recommend you see it.

@ksandi11 @SeverusChud Honestly I can see the Dominions sticking with the Empire longer with a few reasonable changes. It was large non British colonies like the Raj/India that were going to leave no matter the actions of the British Prime Minister.

@SeverusChud I get what you are saying, and I do think Churchill should have been less trusting of Stalin and FDR. But this meme is more accurate, and not just on a technicality.

@Matt_Pinner Götterdämmerung He rose from insignificance & suffered great tragedies, yet forced millions including many who supported him into tragedies far worse than anything he suffered, he condemned his people & by doing so killed the old world & created a new era where he is Antichrist.

@shoheikondo There are many reasons from class differences, to the spread of partisan algorithm based echo chambers on the internet. But one of the most important aspect is that America is a very culturally & ethnically diverse country and has gone through routine cycles of unity & disunity.

@zundamotisuki No they do not. But they are having issues with labor shortages in many fields. They should focus on giving workers more free time to raise families and they should continue to fund rural communities to prevent all the workers from moving to Tokyo.

@tanomuzeA I like the Japanese because they are polite, have an orderly well structured society, have wonderful pop culture in the form of music/anime, have a very interesting and important history, & because in many ways they live lives that are very relatable to me as an American in NYC.

@tanomuzeA Americans & Canadians generally get along. But the “Narcissism of Small Differences” leads to quite a bit of tension. When 2 people are so similar they will nitpick each others behavior so that they can feel secure in the fact that they are their own person & not just a copy.

@DSPetolicchio No, I love Japan, but they should be their own country. Japan is Japan, America is America. We have such a special relationship because we can appreciate our similarities as well as our differences.

@tanomuzeA I agree with the person who said John Smith, not only is John one of the most common names, but Smith is the most common family name in the United States. Also John Smith was the name of the man who helped found the first settlement in Colonial Era America in 1607.
