Berbicara soal vokalis Indonesia, ada satu favorit saya. Ipang Lazuardi. Ipang termasuk vokalis terbaik versi majalah Rolling Stones Indonesia, ia ada di urutan 35, di bawah Andy Rif dan di atas Glenn Fredly.
Saya mengenal Ipang saat sedang mengulik-ngulik band bernama Plastik. Band beraliran grunge era 1990an ini sangat dahsyat menurut saya. Lagu "Seperti" membuat saya kepincut dengan tipe vokal Ipang. Sedikit berbeda dengan vokalis segenerasinya seperti Kaka 'Slank', Ari Lasso dan Once 'Dewa' atau Andy Liany yg mempunyai suara melengking tinggi. Ipang mempunyai suara serak yg khas, mirip seperti Eddie Vedder 'Pearl Jam'. Tidak salah dia disebut Eddie-nya Indonesia.
Plastik bubar, Ipang gabung ke BIP. Saya agak kurang suka Ipang di BIP, seperti suara khasnya kurang keluar. Kemudian ex. Plastik membuat band baru Daddy and The Hot Tea. Saya suka sekali dengan album Bigdeal mereka, suara Ipang di sini seperti menemukan rumahnya kembali, serak, kuat, dan tentu performa panggungnya yg saya ekspresif.
Ipang juga terkenal dengan lagu-lagu single hit semacam Tentang Cinta, Sahabat Kecil, Ada yg Hilang, Bintang Hidupku, dll. Walaupun lebih pop, suara khas Ipang tidak pernah meluntur.
Untuk yg suka Ipang dan grunge atau rock, coba sempatkan dengar band Plastik dan Daddy and The Hot Tea.
Oiya, pengamen di stasiun Pondok Cina sering membawakan lagu 'Seperti' dari Plastik.

Yap itu adalah saya. Sampai sekarang istri saya masih aktif mengajar di Penabur. Karena kita sadar bisa irit milyaran buat biaya dua anak sekolah kesana dari Preschool-SMA.
Di Indonesia pendidikan memang pay to win. Masukin anak ke sekolah negeri bikin orang tua kayak saya was-was pergaulannya jadi rusak. Resikonya lebih kecil di sekolahan swasta elite
Koneksi, relasi, dan kualitas pendidikan yang didapat pun sangat JAUH. Tidak usah munafik dan menyangkal.
Biaya masuk puluhan/ratusan juta, ditambah SPP jutaan per bulan akan hilang kalau istri saya mengajar disana. Itu faktanya, realistis saja.
Walaupun tugas kita hanya sebagai penggembala anak. Tapi kita harus kasih fasilitas terbaik buat mereka berkembang.

Kalo belom nikah, coba cari pasangan guru sekolah swasta internasional yang bs masukkin anaknya gratis. Dijamin hemat ratusan juta, or bahkan 1M lebih kalo dari TK sampai SMA. Networknya juga bakal luas melipatganda. 🤙🏼

Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI) menyampaikan rasa berduka mendalam atas gugurnya satu prajurit TNI serta korban luka yang terjadi karena adanya insiden di daerah penugasan _United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon_ (UNIFIL) akibat eskalasi situasi keamanan pada Minggu, 29 Maret 2026 di Lebanon Selatan.
Berdasarkan laporan dari daerah penugasan, insiden tersebut menimpa Prajurit TNI yang tergabung dalam Kompi C UNP 7-1 Satgas Yonmek XXIII-S/ UNIFIL. Dalam kejadian tersebut, Praka Farizal Rhomadhon dinyatakan gugur, Praka Rico Pramudia mengalami luka berat, serta Praka Bayu Prakoso dan Praka Arif Kurniawan mengalami luka ringan yang saat ini telah mendapatkan penanganan medis.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia expresses its deepest condolences following the death of one Indonesian peacekeeper and the injury of three others serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), after indirect artillery fire in the vicinity of the Indonesian UNIFIL contingent’s position near Adchit Al Qusayr on 29 March 2026, amid reported hostilities between the Israeli military and armed groups in southern Lebanon.
Indonesia strongly condemns the incident and calls for a thorough and transparent investigation.
We are profoundly saddened by this loss. We pay our highest respect to the fallen peacekeeper for his dedication and service to international peace and security. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, and we wish a full and swift recovery to the injured personnel. Indonesia is working with UNIFIL to ensure the prompt repatriation of the fallen and the best possible medical treatment for the injured.
The safety and security of UN peacekeepers must be fully respected at all times, in accordance with international law. Any harm to peacekeepers is unacceptable and undermines collective efforts to maintain peace and stability.
Indonesia reiterates its condemnation of Israel's attacks in southern Lebanon and calls on all parties to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, cease attacks against civilian populations and infrastructure, and return to dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and advance peace.

In many countries, incl Indonesia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs is permanent member of the National Defense Council (or other name).
This council responsible for policy and strategic/critical response of sovereignty. This should include attacks on our peacekeeper soldiers.

I promise you, you don’t hate the British enough. This film is excellent in showing the British role in Zionist settler-colonialism. I had to watch it in a few sittings because I got too angry and distraught at the horrific scenes. It’s even worse when you see it from 2026 —90 years later and the Palestinians are getting genocided. You watch in the film how Palestinians aren’t at all prepared or understand the nature of the beast that’s invaded them, steals their land, tortures them, disarms them, murders them wantonly, they can’t predict how long this would last. Even the upper class Palestinian traitors betray because they misdiagnose the severity of what’s happening. On the one hand you have the brutal British colonial regime that specializes in oppression, and on the other hand, well-organized highly politicized Zionist Jews and Jews (who aren’t yet Zionists not entirely won over, yet they indirectly contribute to the cause of Zionism) moving there to establish a state, they hit the ground running, they control right-wing organizations, left-wing organizations, they work with British colonizers. They have monopoly over everything. While you have peaceful Palestinian village peasants absolutely unprepared/even unable to imagine this kind of brutality that’s unleashed on them. Palestinian workers in the city also unable to organize as effectively as the Jewish counterparts who come from countries with long established unions and socialist parties - on top of the Palestinians being disarmed and the colonial government working in favor of Zionists.
