I have loudly and publicly disagreed with all kinds of administrations in various contexts, but Trump II is the first where I am sure you could improve average intelligence and moral character of the lot if you replaced them with a random draw of college graduates

No.

@DanWells1139026 @AnalyticaCamil1 So you are bombing Iran in perpetuity? I thought forever wars were bad! Leaving aside the fact that this kind of "mowing the grass" strategy does not work.

@AnalyticaCamil1 Well they can no longer Buy Iranian because the factories are gone. And as they try to rebuild, routine training missions will take them out again. And it’s hard to import weapons with no money, no ports & no roads or bridges that don’t meet US approval.

That’s not what the word “decisive” means in a military context. If our operations were decisive (i.e. strong enough to ‘force’ an Iranian capitulation), this war would’ve been over by now. The simple fact of the matter is that you, amongst other loud and obnoxious voices, pushed for a war that you didn’t understand that the US ‘cannot win’, getting a red hot steel rod shoved up the ass of the US and global economy in the process, because you simply don’t know what you’re talking about and quite frankly are not smart enough to know what you don’t know.
Bonchie@bonchieredstate

US/Israeli military dominance over Iran has been as decisive as any conflict in history to this point. It's been that lopsided. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. You can disagree with this conflict without turning your brain into mush in the process.

The thing about airpower is that it is fundamentally the ability to make things go "kaboom" from very far away. The limits of airpower are the limits of distance and the limits of kaboom. And the thing about kaboom is that it is both very versatile and high-risk, as most things can easily be kaboom-ed but are much harder to un-kaboom.

@BretDevereaux Not to mention the downstream effects of an "syriafication" of Iran. A 90 million- people country with nuclear reactors. How many refugees would that create?

I've seen folks insisting that the lack of a day-after-plan for Iran is fine, actually because a chaotic, near-stateless Iran is better than the regime... ...and I guess I have to ask, what is your plan for a Houthi-ized Iran doing shipping strikes on the Strait of Hormuz?
