Announced before @BoredApeYC but minted after, when @CAOS_BOY, the artist, decided to redo all the art following wild accusations from parts of the @cryptopunks community claiming he was “stealing art from Google” (he was) A few weeks later, 10,000 boys sold out in just four days, setting a record at the time, and turning that moment of chaos into NFT history. That madness became the foundation of TAB and it pulled in the kind of community that thrives on chaos, curiosity, and fun. The mint ran smoother than most projects back then, with almost no failed transactions, because we built a smart contract upgrade that made minting faster and cheaper by optimizing gas when everyone else was burning ETH. TAB pioneered the delayed reveal, which turned the mysterious Baghead Boy into an overnight icon, a symbol of early NFT culture. Some say it was genius. Others say Caos just didn’t finish the art. Either way, many agreed, it was better that way, unrevealed. The Universe Expands: The Alien Girl & The Alien UFO We released TAG and TAU as companion pieces, each linked to the timestamp of the original TAB mint, creating an immutable temporal fingerprint on-chain. TAU, an animated showcase that chronicled TAB’s journey from deep space to Earth, captured in beautifully crafted GIFs that expanded the lore and aesthetic of the collection. Innovation, Always First TAB isn’t just another NFT collection, it’s an experimental playground for four friends. We were the first NFT project to invite a community member to collaborate on the art, resulting in The Alien Doogle, a milestone in decentralized creativity. Among other firsts, we also pioneered: ✔️ Gasless naming ✔️ A “Hot or Not” aesthetic ranking system ✔️ NFT upgrades like Eyedrops, Healthpacks, and The Alien Soap ✔️ Top-tier custom merch FREE for holders, produced by a member of our community and delivered through our own Fock Store, powered by the $fock token. ✔️ Installed Fock ATMs so the community could trade their tokens peer to peer. Shitcoiners & Cultural Commentary During the peak of the shitcoin season, we dropped Shitcoiners, right on Bitcoin, the biggest “shitcoin blockchain” of them all, using inscriptions and art predating CryptoPunks, echoing their raw pixelated DNA. The Kek Wave Now, with PepeBoys, we’re inviting the OG 2016 Rare Pepe community @pepecoins one of the most bullish and expressive in Web3, to join our growing ecosystem.
