This afternoon our U15 Boys Football Team booked their spot in the Powys Final, after beating Ysgol Calon Cymru. Another great performance from this team, who fought back after being a goal down in the first half. Well done boys!

Today, we had two year 8 Basketball Teams play in the North Powys Tournament in Newtown. A really enjoyable day and the two squads did fantastic and represented WHS with flying colours! Well done boys!

A 49-27 win for our U14 boys and a 20-14 loss for our U16 boys in their rugby games this afternoon against Llanidloes Some great tries scored by both teams and excellent effort by all. Special thanks to @welshpool_rugby_club for donating a new rugby kit for our U14s team!

What a weekend for WHS netballers at Condover! Some great performances and excellent attitude across all teams, with lots of laughs along the way. Thank you to all involved!

Fantastic afternoon of football today as we welcomed Ysgol Bro Hyddgen in the U12 Boys, U14 Boys and U15 Girls. All three teams played brilliantly today and have all made it through to the next round of the Welsh Cup!! @WelshSchoolsFA

Great to see so many attending girls football club in the first week back. Lots of preparation to be done for a busy term ahead! ⚽️

Our Boys cricket team were in action on Tuesday evening, in the annual James Corfield Memorial Match against Newtown High School. Unfortunately we only managed 13 overs before rain stopped play so it was decided that the game should be drawn and the trophy shared for this year.

Today is the day we said happy retirement to Mrs Poulton after 19 years of fantastic service to WHS PE and the school as a whole! She has inspired so many past and present pupils over the years. Thank you Mrs Poulton, you will be sorely missed ❤️

A good day out for our U15s and U14s at the Powys Schools Rugby Sevens Tournament. No medals for either team today, but plenty of good rugby on display and fantastic commitment and effort levels in every game played.

North Wales Champions 🏆🏆 Our U13 Boys backed up their North Powys win last week by becoming champions of North Wales yesterday in Wrexham. The boys now qualify as regional winners and will play their next game in the new academic year.
