Considering United have been playing one game per week this season, many fans have forgotten how it’s like when you have 60 games a season. Laughable to me that people think we can get away with 3 senior midfielders for 2 positions for a whole season next year. Absolutely laughable concept. No fan from other big clubs will even consider this.

Funny thing about hit pieces like these: Ugarte was one of the better players in Ten Hag’s final season. If anyone should be criticized here, it’s the United board. They never sign players on time and never build a squad. Years of constantly misprofiling players and signing them too late. Remember Pogba: it took us two years to get Matic and another two to get Bruno. By that time Pogba was done and buried. Bruno, in his sixth year, is one of the best No. 10s in the world. Did we ever build a midfield as good as Chelsea, City, Arsenal or Liverpool? Heck, even Newcastle have a better midfield. And they all built theirs in one or two windows. E.g. Caicedo, Enzo and Palmer. Good teams build their squads in one or maximum two windows. Don’t buy meat today and get the ingredients to cook it next week—it will get spoiled. It’s common sense, and the fanbase lacks it. So maybe stop talking about single players who didn’t work out because they were bought in a way they never could have succeeded, and start criticizing the ones who authorize and control it.
