@PIE_Animals Sorry but Vedic Sanskrit does not use any forms of Ves for bird. (Vayas) is a crow and that too rarely used it's Káka: for crow.

@mclo_Bridger Interesting! It would be an interesting topic to look at, where those cattle calls come from. My dad is from a small farm in Austria and they also used weird words to call them.
