@thejesguy @EdhNeoroyal @DavyFJones Would y'all be interested in playing a locked colors edh league? You pick any one color combination and you can play any commander(s) in those precise colors on league night.

I wound up having 9 people with up for my spell table edh league. Ideally I would like 12 so we can have 3 full pods one Tuesday a month. Gonna tag some friends in the comments and see if any of them might be interested

@braidsbathory Similar logic for me with magnifying glass. Every time I have clue or "sacrifice tokens" synergies it starts in the pile but the high curve, colorless mana only, and high activation cost means it hits the chopping block

@PKinter13 Manascape Refractor and or mirran safe house always start in the pile but never make the cut, if refractor didn't enter tapped id put it in everything

There are over 150 3- and 4- MV mana rocks in #MTG. Which ones do you not run now that you would run in EDH if they were lower MV? Mine is magnifying glass

Non traditional partners - you can play any two legends as if they have partner in the command zone. They must share a color. Example: I am well known for my Hallar the Firefletcher / verazol the split current temur kicker deck.

Locked colors: you pick a single color combination and you can only run commanders in that guild / shard / wedge etc for the entire league (example you only play dimir or bant or jund)

Lots of non #MTG players: MTG is complicated and difficult to get into MTG players; it's not that bad. Most of the cards tell you exactly what they do Wizards: *stops regularly printing reminder text on cards so they can fit more rules text*

@redwyrmofficial @DeeEmSteve My biggest nitpick about high stakes DND: Too many DMs try to make every encounter high stakes. If there aren't any low stakes encounters, it cheapens the stakes.

DnD Hot Take: If you tell me to bring back-up characters to your session because you run high-stakes DnD and characters will die, the stakes are actually quite low. High stakes means I care deeply about my character’s story and will be devastated if they lose a finger. #dnd

@thejesguy I don't think so? SM posts by wizards seem to only indicate the three competitive formats today
