Today marks the start of #LGBTHM23. The aim of this month is to share the colourful history of LGBTQ+ individuals and increase awareness of diversity & inclusion at NGH.

This week is #transgenderawarenessweek , which is to raise visibility and address issues that members of the community face 🏳️‍⚧️

14 July is International Non-Binary Peoples Day! We celebrate those who are non-binary and celebrate people who do not fit into a binary gender. In really simple terms, a non-binary person is someone who does not identify as exclusively a man or a woman. stonewall.org.uk/about-us/news/…

After an enlightening conversation about pronouns at todays Connect Explore Improve session I now have a better understanding of how including these in my personal information and profiles can encourage and support wider conversations around gender identity, thank you @PRIDEngh

To celebrate #PrideMonth we couldn’t resist a stop to #CrossWithPride for some snaps! This crossing means a lot to us as a network and has become the centrepiece of inclusion at NGH ❤️🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It’s great to see workplaces like @HalifaxBank offering staff the option of including their pronouns on badges. Having pronouns on badges is a simple yet impactful way to make sure LGBTQ+ identities are respected – for employees and customers alike 🌈💗
