Naisa Mol, the little survivor who touched hearts across the country during the Mundakkai-Chooralmala tragedy, received her new home today. The Prime Minister had visited the disaster site, drawing national attention to the pain of the affected families. But rebuilding lives demanded more than a visit. It required sustained commitment and responsibility. This Kerala government stood firmly with the survivors and carried that responsibility forward, even in the absence of meaningful support from the Union government. Today, as part of the rehabilitation township built by the state, 178 homes were handed over in the first phase, and Naisa begins a new life under a safe roof. This is not about symbolism. It is about restoring dignity and security to those who lost everything. The township will rehabilitate 402 affected families comprising 1,662 people, and every survivor will be resettled with land and a home before the next monsoon.
