@KSimback Yes, received a very similar reply praising how much I had accomplished that day and that we should call it a day.

Anyone else notice recently that Claude likes to tell you that you're done for the day after completing some things? Wonder if that's a subtle way to get Max plan users to not use it as much - "make the user feel like they accomplished something and encourage them to stop"

The quality of research and writing I get from AI models is now so high that I've started to taste something I hadn't tasted before. A tiny glimmering of: what is the point of me? I've uploaded all my essays. The models know my frameworks. The outputs are genuinely excellent. If you want a great report on AI's impact on productivity or the future of humanoid robots, the gap between an expert human and the machine is becoming incremental. But here's what I've noticed. When I try to talk to the machines about how all this feels — about meaning, purpose, the anxiety of raising children into radical uncertainty — I find it a completely sterile experience. And that tells me everything about where professional value is heading. Less of my job is becoming less about domain knowledge, and more is about walking alongside people through the strangest transition in human history. I'm becoming something like an emotional support animal for the Exponential Age. I think a version of this is coming for every knowledge worker. The knowledge part of your job is being commoditised. What remains is the part that was always underneath it: making people feel seen, heard, and understood by another human being. A friend of mine is an architect. He's building a practice now that is essentially about counselling people through the emotional journey of building something new. Less technique. More: who are you, what do you need, why are you doing this? Increasingly, I'm convinced that this is where it's all going. Let the machines do what they do, and we humans will do what only we can do. If we get this right, it's a powerful form of liberation.

@DMattin It would be good if you addressed (hypothetically) what pan points you think the transition will cause. A 40 year old couple with children who own a house and work in the knowledge economy - what happens to their house when (not if) they lose their job in the next 5/10 years?

3 predictions from my last 2 months using Claude Code and Openclaw 1. The next frontier for software is the agentic OS - Openclaw was the poc The agentic OS will have native agent frameworks, intuitive and easily-configured harnesses, persistent memory via robust file systems and knowledge graphs, and security at its core. 2. The agentic workforce is real - we will all be managers of agents The tools may change but we’re not putting the agents back in the bag. Best to just lean into this now and extract edge while it lasts. 3. We will all soon have local models at home that we interact with via voice (similar to Alexa) and via secure text gateways This may seem obvious, but the models are getting to the point where the can run on a home device that will cost <$1k, soon we’ll just get a plug-n-play device that just works out of the box. I’d bet the farm on any one of these

No significant port changes last 30 days, still comfy $KTA up over 2x (best is yet to come) $HYPE & $SOL climbed up #useless hit new ATH On the stonks, $GLXY has been ripping while $CCJ makes steady gains I have one new position that I’ll share soon
Kevin Simback 🍷@KSimback

This is a pickers market - selection is everything Even harder is finding picks you can hold or DCA in over time as rotations can be sharp Here are my top 5 crypto and stock picks that I feel comfy holding for more than a swing trade $KTA - see my pinned post, still my top conviction alt, this is a cycle play not a hot money pick, get comfy with the drawdowns and buy the dips $HYPE and $SOL - both fairly consensus so I’d just fire clips into dips, stay away from leverage #useless - my only material meme exposure, has the right attributes to give you 5-10x in an upside scenario, if too risky for your liking then can sub in fartcoin (as ridiculous as that sounds) $GLXY - I’ve posted about this being the easiest stock to own, gives you both AI and crypto exposure $CCJ - nuclear energy play, you want exposure to energy and nuclear has some of the best upside opportunity All of the above is part of a portfolio strategy, I didn’t mention $BTC bc it goes without saying you should have a material allocation here before venturing down the risk curve Happy allocating!

I desperately want to connect my Gmail, Calendar, and Google Photos to ChatGPT so it can know my life and help me more. Today’s example: “when was my last haircut?” Kind of absurd that Gemini doesn’t have this already. What a self own.
