@Rongokako21 I also did loads of research and interviewed the Polynesian Panthers to make sure the story was accurate. #NZraDawnRaid

@Rongokako21 A lot of ideas came form my own experience as I grew up in the 1970's and was the same age as Sofia around this time. I had a milk run so I knew how to explain things like that #NZraDawnRaid

@Rongokako21 I just love Sofia as she drives the story. I really love the mum character too. Her maiden name was Mary-Rose Sparks and this was sort of a secret nod to Rosa Parks. I love how the mum keeps the family stable and cared for. #NZraDawnRaid
