The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo had the pleasure of hosting a networking event in honour of participants of Japan IT Week 2026. The evening brought together Pakistani IT companies, Japanese industry partners, academia, and leading institutions, providing a platform for informal exchange following a full day of engagement at Tokyo Big Sight. The event opened with welcome remarks by the Ambassador of Pakistan, who emphasised the importance of building long-term, reliable partnerships through practical collaboration and consistent delivery. We were also pleased to have participation from representatives of JICA, Deloitte, PSEB, and TDAP. The focus remains on moving from introductions to pilot projects, and from engagement to sustained partnerships. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with the Iranian delegation at the Islamabad Talks. The Iranian side was led by the Honorable Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, assisted by Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Abbas Araghchi. Appreciating Iran’s engagement in the Islamabad Talks, the Prime Minister affirmed Pakistan’s sincere resolve to continue playing its role as a mediator to help build momentum towards achieving meaningful results in the interest of regional and global peace and stability. #IslamabadTalks

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshall Syed Asim Munir and Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi attended the meeting from Pakistani side.
