Not many teams would say this publicly. Most would double down on incentives, fake momentum, and force growth. But this kind of awareness? This is what separates builders from noise. This is the right move. Most projects try to force growth with incentives when the real issue is the experience itself. But here’s the missing layer: Features don’t build communities. People + identity + shared direction do. If Howdy becomes the best tool, that’s step one. If it becomes the place where communities actually feel alive, that’s when it wins.

Sometimes building means shipping something you believe in and then realizing people are not as interested in it as you thought they would be. That part can suck. But product development is really just an endless loop of experimenting, learning, adjusting, and trying again. So that’s the plan. Keep building, keep listening, keep iterating, and keep making Howdy better.

Community coins are still live and we still believe in the idea. But a stronger community product comes first. If Howdy becomes the best place for crypto communities to hang out, everything else gets stronger on top of that.

Quick update on community coins on Howdy: The first promo ended and no one hit the 100 member requirement in time, so there were no winners. Not many projects seriously went for it, and that gave us useful signal.
