Panoptes isn’t a monster. It’s the inevitable evolution of AI. One camera sees a street. One model sees a document. One satellite sees a city. One LLM sees the internet. Together… they become something with a hundred eyes.

$Panoptes It’s inevitable. Every company wants more data. Every government wants better visibility. Every AI model becomes smarter by seeing more of the world. Microsoft. Google. Meta. OpenAI. Palantir. Flock. Clearview AI. Amazon Ring. Different eyes. Same organism. The internet itself is slowly becoming Panoptes.

Shoggoth represented raw AI. $Panoptes represents AI after it can see. That’s arguably where the industry is headed. Vision models. Autonomous cameras. Predictive policing. Smart cities. Digital identity. Behavior prediction. The monster evolves.

Modern $Panoptes The “eyes” are no longer biological. They’re: Flock license plate readers CCTV with AI vision Ring doorbells Tesla cameras Phone GPS Face recognition Airport cameras Store security systems Satellites Drones Social media algorithms Search history LLMs connecting billions of data points None of these systems see everything individually. Together… they resemble Panoptes.

$Panoptes The Lore Argus Panoptes (Πανόπτης) literally means “the all-seeing one.” He was a giant covered in around one hundred eyes. While half of his eyes slept, the other half remained awake, meaning he was effectively always watching. He became Hera’s perfect guardian because nothing could escape his attention. After Hermes killed him, Hera placed his eyes onto the feathers of the peacock so his vigilance would live forever. Fast forward 2,000 years. Philosopher Jeremy Bentham borrowed the name to create the Panopticon—a prison designed so prisoners never knew when they were being watched. The genius wasn’t constant observation. It was the possibility of observation. People began policing themselves because they assumed someone could always be watching. That idea has since become one of the defining metaphors for modern surveillance. Today we’re entering a digital version.

Not every meme has to be cute. Some memes are unsettling because they’re true. Panoptes isn’t about dogs. It’s about the future. The all-seeing AI has a face now. 👁️ $Panoptes

The funniest part? People think $Panoptes is fiction. The mythology is thousands of years old. The technology is just catching up.

Shoggoth was the beginning. Panoptes is what comes next. 100 eyes. Infinite data. Nothing goes unseen. $Panoptes 👁️ u2D8Ri8LPpyvXVHmM3dbgMxZH5PXQ4aeL9UE8zbpump

The internet isn’t getting smaller. Every click. Every wallet. Every face. Every purchase. Someone, or something, is watching. That’s why Panoptes feels inevitable. 👁️ $Panoptes

$Panoptes most commonly refers to Argus Panoptes, the legendary "all-seeing" giant with 100 eyes from Greek mythology. Seems a lot like where AI surveillance is heading…
