Pakistan Tops Global Terrorism Index in 2026 Pakistan has, for the first time, ranked as the country most affected by terrorism in the 2026 Global Terrorism Index, surpassing Burkina Faso. According to the report, Pakistan experienced more than 1,045 terrorist incidents in 2025. These attacks resulted in 1,139 deaths and left 1,595 people injured. The data also shows a continued upward trend, with terrorist incidents rising by 6 percent compared to 2024. This marks the sixth consecutive year of increasing attacks in the country. The report identifies Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan as the deadliest group operating during the year, while noting that the single largest attack was carried out by the Baloch Liberation Army. #aamajnews
