We would like to welcome Assistant Professor/Research Jae-Hoon Ji to the lab. Jae-Hoon did postdoctoral work here at UTHSCSA with Sang-Eun Lee before heading to South Korea in 2012, and he has now returned to San Antonio to work jointly with us and the Lee lab.

We would also like to welcome Lingling He to our lab. Lingling graduated with her Bachelors degree from Oakland University in Michigan this past spring, and joins us as a Research Technician.

Welcome John Cavaretta, who has recently joined our lab as a Research Associate. John did research in a variety of areas at the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Illinois, and New Mexico State before joining us.

We are pleased to announce that Patrick has just received a 7-year National Cancer Institute Outstanding Investigator (R35) Award. This is the first such award for UT Health San Antonio!

Excited to announce that Arijit Dutta has received a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (formerly SALSI) at UT Health San Antonio. Arijit is working on the role of BRCA pathway in resolution of R-loops at DNA breaks. Congratulations, @DuttaArijit06!!

Eva Galvan is a Radiation Oncology resident who is using her elective months to study mechanisms of recombination in our lab. Fun fact - Eva went to Yale as an undergrad and took Patrick's Principles of Biochemistry course back in 2009!
