No new official confirmation has been released by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office as of April 22, 2026.The official statement on the Boulder County Sheriff’s website for case #26-01788 still reads exactly as it did initially: A man died by self-inflicted gunshot on April 20 after deputies responded to a mental health crisis call near the 1400 block of Ridge Road (at/near the residence matching Wilcock’s known address). The identity of the decedent has not been publicly released and will only come after scientific confirmation and next-of-kin notification.

David Wilcock didn't have any mental health issues. He was always a little cuckoo, but in a good way. They wanted to take him out so that they could release information he's been sharing for decades. This is just what they do. It's why my business was attacked as well

What I find crazy is that people are already writing public obituaries while the police is officially saying: “The identity of the decedent will be released by the Coroner’s Office following scientific confirmation and notification of next of kin.” As of yet there's no officials naming any name.
