A year ago today, the previous UK government hiked duty on #ScotchWhisky and other spirits by 10.1%, and ploughed on with a 'reformed' system which taxes spirits up to x4 more than other alcohol per unit of alcohol A year on, it is clear this decision has harmed the economy 👇

Quite the shock and such a sad loss. Martin was a font of knowledge and an international trade guru. He used to jokingly call me Sinead when we worked together. He'll be sorely missed and my heart goes out to his family 💔
