Mrs. Wilson's class is focused and engaged preparing for MCAP through a practice test.

The creative composition process broken down in steps - writing and praciticing rhythms, adding melodic notes, and transferring to the treble staff, and then playing it! Students started out independently and the worked collaboratively.

Music in our schools month is so important! Every year, we work on a display for the remaining of the school year. I cannot wait to see how the display turns out. Music is blooming all around you.

Reading week has been a blast! One day this week was all about wearing clothes with WORDS to encourage more reading!

For Non-Fiction day, a student came dressed at Taylor Swift with her book and knew that our music teacher had the same book! They were so excited to share this moment. Our music teacher also had to share her love for Dolly Parton for Non-Fiction Day and Women's History month!

The 5th grade students have worked hard to evaluate performances using the musical elements and developing how to discuss and determine a quality performance alongside their preference using different National Anthem performances. Each class ended up with a different champion!

Day 1 of Black History Spirit Week is off to a strong start! Our staff showed up proudly in attire that celebrates culture and excellence. We are building knowledge, celebrating heritage, and inspiring our future leaders one day at a time.

Whiteboards are this music teacher's best friend! In 2nd grade, students practiced writing rhythms and then used their beat buddy to perform their rhythms. In 5th grade, students collaborated to create their own rubric for evaluating a musical performance.
