Asmongold's apology is precisely what I expect a man to do when they screw up. He owned it and accepted accountability while also stepping down from leadership because he knows how it impacts his work family by remaining present. I look forward to seeing the actions he spoke of in his latest video. The mans lifestyle needs to be stopped.
Doing this is very difficult to do for the majority and often at times, the majority that can't do it will provide the harshest form of judgement and malice. They are usually the quickest to speak up on others mistakes.
His mistake was not giving an opinion, it was being inconsiderate of the innocent that are caught in the crosshairs of a vile war that have only known survival in it's most raw, bare bones form.
Privilege will do that to you. It happens to all humans on a daily basis myself included. You get comfortable with the life you live and become ignorant of the lives that others live. Humans are forgetful and deeply flawed beings.
It's funny, people said he had a mask off moment but in reality I saw the mask come off the people that immediately went for the low hanging fruit like they've never slipped up and said some foul shit in real life. we all have and you're fake as fuck to pretend you haven't. I agree with him though, he needed the slap in the face cause a man's pride can cloud their vision until humbled.
Asmon has a 95/5 ratio of good takes to bad in my opinion which is more than i can say for 99% of the internet.
The internet is comprised of cowards who are novices in the game of life. Their backs were built on sand castles. Asmon is not a bad person, just proved that he too can be an absolute idiot like the rest of us.
He said it best though - "you can save millions of lives but if you suck one dick... you're not a life saver, you're a dick sucker" xD
