Sony announced them killing off physical games with a tweet and a blog post like it was some regular Wednesday, expecting people will be mad for a bit and move on. And now the backlash has gotten so big it’s being covered by mainstream news outlets. DON’T LET UP, DON’T SHUT UP.

Imaginez, la tristesse : on peut encore aller acheter un livre dans les magasins, des blu-ray, des CD de musique, le Vinyle reviens assez fort, mais le jeu vidéo lui, est en train de disparaître dans sa forme physique dans le plus grand des calmes pour nous obliger à passer en tout numérique 👎 Ils veulent tout contrôler, déjà que c’est une industrie qui nous abreuve de DLC, achats en plus in-game, battlepass, extensions, avec notre jeu de base depuis quelques années. La cupidité n’a plus de limite, nous sommes des portefeuilles sur pattes. Là, en plus, ce serait carrément nous priver de notre liberté d’achat avec la décision de Sony. Un véritable monopole inconcevable, ou le joueur passe au second plan encore une fois. Pourquoi le jeu vidéo serait le seul des médias qui ne peut subsister dans une autre forme que le tout numérique ? Pourquoi devons-nous nous résigner à devoir se plier au monopole d’un seul store sur une machine ? Ne laissons pas faire cela, battons nous encore, seule la voix des joueurs compte. Peut importe les Call Of, les machins, si la future PS6 se vend mal, alors ils comprendront, Gardons le choix, toujours. #NoCDNoPLAYSTATION 👊💿 #PhysicalNeverDies

This is an attack on ownership and media preservation. I will no longer support @PlayStation and I have since their first console. Every launch I was there. Preordered games, special editions... I'm done and I'm not the only one. No ownership, not buying. Pretty simple.

Shawn Layden's "you need to choose to be a publisher or a platform" @ Xbox take feels like weird gaslighting to me. Literally says who? What magical rule book determines this? Lol. I dunno why people are lapping this up. Microsoft has made hardware for decades, and published for decades. It's possible that business models exist outside of how PlayStation defines things. Sorry.

SONY IS GOING FULL WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM! Why did @Sony push the digital conversion to 2028? Well, after more digging, I found this knew information that NO ONE is talking about. I believe this is directly related to their decision to going full digital. Sony Bank is own by @Sony and they are trying to create a digital stablecoin to use in the Playstation economy. This will be the next tool to FORCE you to be a member of their Premium PSPlus. We just saw this practice with Call of Duty 2 and 3. If you were a member, you got the game cheaper. Sony will turn their entertainment division into proverbial phrase "You will own nothing and be happy". In the future you will need to buy into their stablecoin to participate in any of it.
