@citchmook I don’t think it’s just Mikko vs. Necas—the ripple effect of that trade is what really matters. It ended up bringing in Drury and Nelson too, so the overall return is a lot bigger than a straight one-for-one.

Moving on from Mikko seemed like a horrible decision at the time but everything turned out just fine. Martin Necas is awesome.

Three or so years ago, I almost died. A friend at work made desserts for us. She got the ones with nuts mixed up with the ones that weren’t and gave me the poison. Not only were there nuts in it, there were three different types. I knew about two seconds in that this wasn’t my typical allergic reaction. I didn’t even swallow the dessert. It was the worst thing I ever tasted in my whole life. I low key spat it out and still almost died. Totally not worth it. Docs said that night I had about 20 minutes left before they saved my life. Quotes of the night: “Get the camera crew ready for my Grey’s Anatomy debut.” “Ryan, we need to give you 2 more epi pen shots.” “Two more? What happened to the first two?” “You weren’t exactly with us for the first two.” “Ughhhhh.” 😂😂 Anyway, as I said the next morning, @MrPeanut, I’m good man. If you're an Avs fan upset by tonight's game, don't be. The last game against the Jets was a way more difficult game to win and the Avs showed us what they have. Tonight was a one off accompanied by puck luck (Avs hit 4 posts) and Jets got the bounces. Also, no PP for the Avs in the second and third periods. Plus the Jets are still fighting for a PO spot. That's our difference maker. I still liked how the boys played. #GoAvsGo
