@PhillyPhillyTP The 30 visits usually have more to do with who a player is off the field since there is no on-field work allowed during those visits. We’ll agree to disagree here.

Only 18 of Philadelphia’s 30 visits have been reported ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. That’s the lowest total since 2022. 2022: 18 2023: 25 2024: 28 2025: 26 After the Eagles drafted a high rate of players that visited the team in 2023 and 2024, are they being more secretive? 🤔

Not so much them being reported. From a teams perspective you have 2 sometimes 3 or 4 more years of film on a prospect so the need for a long top 30 visit isn’t as necessary when you’re picking towards the end of the first it just gives more info to other teams then you’d really get out of it.

The #Eagles had a virtual zoom meeting with Oklahoma EDGE R Mason Thomas, per source. Thomas logged 15.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 fumble recoveries for the Sooners in 2024 and 2025. He’s a projected Day 2 pick with some buzz as early as the 1st-round.

They definitely told her to resign or she was getting fired. Now every single major media network should be covering this on TV tomorrow since there is clarity and finality on Dianna Russini’s future at the Athletic. They didn’t give Ime Udoka any grace.

Russini says she resigns "not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.” apnews.com/article/russin…

All About The Birds@AATBirds

I have come up with a few reasons analysts/fans/podcasters criticize Jalen Hurts more than QBs who’ve done less. 👇🏼 1. Stoic personality = less “narrative fuel”
Hurts doesn’t give the media much. No flashy quotes, no emotional outbursts, no controversy. Compare that to guys like Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen who are more expressive or outwardly charismatic—people latch onto personality. Hurts’ calm, almost corporate tone can come off as “boring,” so he doesn’t get the same benefit of the doubt in public discourse. 2. He doesn’t look like a traditional QB (to some analysts)
Even after success, some still frame him as a “system QB” because: He runs a lot The Philadelphia Eagles have had elite O-line/play-calling He doesn’t rely on flashy off-platform throws like Mahomes That creates this lingering bias where people credit the system more than the player. 3. Success came fast—and skeptics held onto old takes
Hurts went from “question mark” to Super Bowl-level QB quickly. A lot of analysts were low on him early, and instead of fully flipping, they hedge or wait for regression so they don’t look wrong. 4. Wins don’t always match the eye test crowd wants
Some fans prefer QBs who “wow” you every play. Hurts is more: - Efficient - Clutch - Situationally elite That style doesn’t always translate to highlight culture, even though it wins games. 5. Team success cuts both ways
Because the Eagles are stacked, critics say: “Anyone could win with that roster.” But when they lose, suddenly it’s: “Hurts isn’t elite.” He gets both sides of that inconsistency. 6. Personality vs perception
His leadership is respected inside the locker room, but since he’s not loud or flashy, outsiders sometimes misread that as lack of “it factor”—even though teammates consistently vouch for him. Bottom line:
Yeah, his stoic personality contributes, but the bigger issue is perception lag + stylistic bias. Hurts doesn’t fit the media’s ideal QB mold, so he gets nitpicked more than others with similar (or worse) production. #FlyEaglesFly
