I need to make a git fork that just immediately deletes your root drive if you accidentally commit node_modules

The memory overhead of a rust process is so low and the experience of a cargo workplace monorepo so good it's actually making me like microservices

Guess I'm gonna be switching to Opencode and FOSS models even before what's left of my sub runs out. Can't even develop my own application on my own computer. Literally nothing to do with cybersec, guess playwright is now banned

@rauchg The alternatives are just as bespoke; stateful edge isn't standardized yet (especially with websockets). You also are not required to use DOs, it's a powerful tool for a specific set of use cases that a Redis won't cover. It's a nice product for an increasingly common problem.

@PhoenixSpace2 They NIH’d a new primitive that locks you in. You should look for alternatives whenever possible. Simple engineering principle. Don’t chase novelty

slightly sketched that the ceo of a infrastructure/hosting company cannot understand the use of a distributed systems primitive with very low latency storage attached
Guillermo Rauch@rauchg

@_ashleypeacock One is an industry standard and open source datastructure server, the other one is… actually no one knows what DO actually is 😂 (other than lock-in for workers)

@clerk went down and took down our production line 🤦‍♂️ Will be migrating to better auth on our own infra with some smarter failure resiliency.

how did it take AI for companies to realize they should have an API, and perhaps a nice markdown file of documentation on how to use said API

@edzitron In case it's also useful, $20/mo OpenAI codex plan, casual usage. I consistently get $80/week of usage in terms of limits (seems to have been consistent the last month or two)

I am working on something and could use your help. If you pay for Claude code, please type npx ccusage@latest into your terminal and send me a screenshot of your usage from the last month, along with your level of subscription ($20/100/200). I would be so grateful!
