Last Friday, the Mayoress and I had the pleasure of officially opening House of Flavaz - a wonderful new Caribbean restaurant and venue in North Kensington. It is always great to see new businesses opening in the borough, especially when they serve such delicious food! ☺️

@PinkHippoPR IMO the UK is behind the rest of the world when it comes to diversity and inclusion... I write for global publications and brands... the difference in mindset is very evident.

@Sue__Omar I’m finding this is the case all around. Even with brands collaborating with diverse talent, they aren’t really budging much since the last two years. We just keep seeing the same talent being overused.

@PinkHippoPR It bothers me that #BlackHistoryMonth is an afterthought for many companies, brands and publications in the UK. Surely it's a significant event that should be included in content calendars months in advance. Instead of scrabbling at the last minute - our stories need investment

@PinkHippoPR It's seriously disappointing. As a journalist who pushes for coverage of #BlackHistoryMonth in the UK each year..I can tell you first-hand that most publications have overlooked it. There's still time to fix this but journalists can't place stories if Editors won't pick them up.
