Multiple burn mechanics are in place — with 100% of HyperCore spot HYPE trading fees and 100% of HyperEVM gas fees being burned.
Today alone, 1,100 HYPE tokens were burned from fees (HyperEVM gas + HyperCore spot).
To date, a total of 486,700 HYPE tokens have been permanently removed from supply through these mechanisms.
In the past 24 hours alone, the Assistance Fund bought back ~65,670 HYPE at a price of $40.07. During the same period, rewards distributed to stakers and validators totaled 26,524 HYPE.
This creates a net deflation of 39,146 HYPE daily:

At current prices (~$40.07), sustaining this level of value requires massive trading volume — and Hyperliquid delivers. Very few L1s in history have reached this point, where buyback demand consistently outpaces inflationary rewards.
For context, Solana’s annual inflation is ~26,746,620 SOL — while Hyperliquid is running deflationary at scale.
The Assistance Fund currently holds ~35,011,194.82 HYPE (~$1.344B), with 99% of revenue going directly into buybacks. This is one of the strongest, most aggressive tokenomics designs in the industry and a massive confidence signal.

The last few days have been incredible to witness. I've never seen a community rally around and engage with passion like this before.
Following direct discussions with individuals in the community and validators we have taken onboard some of the concerns, namely:
-Ethena is not a Hyperliquid native team
-We have other product lines outside of USDH
-Our ambitions extend beyond working with just one partner exchange
These are valid and we accept the pushback.
It appears the decision is a near certainty now and we will respectfully be withdrawing our proposal to allow validators to signal their support elsewhere if they want to.
Congratulations to the Native Markets team. You deserve this.
While some are complaining about their lack of credibility I think their success here perfectly embodies everything which is so special about Hyperliquid and their community.
No one gives a fuck how big you are, your background, pedigree or financial resources. It is a level playing field where emergent players can win the hearts of the community and are given a fair shot at succeeding.
To everyone within and outside the community who supported our proposal: thank you. It's a privilege and honour to build alongside you.
Also worth calling out the other proposals which were a testament to the quality of teams now in this space and it is great to see us all elevate each other to a higher level.
So what happens with Ethena on Hyperliquid going forward?
Well we are simply going to do everything we said we would.
If it wasn't obvious from our post, clipping 5% on tbill yields into a declining interest rate environment isn't exciting to us at all. In fact it was the least interesting part of our plans.
Developing new products with native teams including:
-hUSDe native synthetic dollars,
-USDe enabled savings and card spending products,
-enabling hedging flows on Hyperliquid,
-and the wide design space of HIP-3 markets uniquely enabled by Ethena: a) reward-bearing trading collateral,
b) modular prime broking,
c) perpetual swaps on equities
...is what actually excited us.
And we will be putting our full force behind making that a success despite the outcome here.
In short, we will do what we have always done since day one: outcompete everyone else on product regardless.

Binance has historically pursued a strategy of providing in-house product solutions, and very rarely open their platform to external teams without rigorous examination and a demonstration of very clear product market fit.
Both their investment into Ethena and now integrations of USDe into the Binance platform required many months of detailed diligence.
I've personally learned a lot from them this past year and am convinced that you can only build a lasting business at the scale they have by always doing right by your users and never letting that standard drop.
That is the only way to earn the trust of >250m users.
The holy grail of dollar asset distribution has always been embedded within centralized exchanges alongside their user bases.
And as of today USDe will now be integrated fully across the entire product suite of the largest exchange in the world.
We couldn't be more excited to be expanding our relationship with Binance to offer their users a unique product across their entire platform including:
i) USDe futures margin collateral across the entire derivatives platform
ii) USDe spot trading pairs
iii) Direct integration into the Binance Earn program
With more coming in the next few weeks.
Binance currently holds over ~$130b of assets and ~$40b of stablecoins, and we expect USDe to grow into one of the largest on their platform.
USDe penetration for USD assets on other CEXs sits at roughly ~12% which would correspond to >$4.0b of USDe on Binance.

We are aware of questions circulating in Discord and X as to whether investors or the Ethena team are earning Ethereal rewards via sENA using locked tokens.
We would like to categorically confirm to our community that absolutely no locked team or investor tokens are staked as sENA earning any rewards, including Ethereal.
This was confirmed in Discord publicly last week per the screenshot below.
Any ENA that was sent out of the wallets in question are unlocked following the exact vesting schedule outlined in the original token distribution blog post.
The wallets in question contain unlocked foundation tokens that would fit under the eligible criteria. Nevertheless, the foundation has confirmed to us that these tokens will *NOT* be recipients of any airdrop or related rewards from Ethereal.
A section will be added to the UI this week to clarify the total sENA eligible for future airdrops, which also excludes the undistributed sENA sitting in Liquifi contracts, to make this more clear to users.
