Alhamdulillah. On the mandate of Mai Martaba, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Zulu Gambari and in representation of the Sarkin Malamai of Ilorin and its environs, As-Shaykh Al-Imam Ya’aqub Ali-Agan, I had the distinct honor of leading the Eid al-Fitr prayer today at Raleigh Islamic Institute (RII), North Carolina USA. I stood on a platform built by our righteous predecessors, carrying forward the legacy of our fathers, teachers, and mentors. Moments like this are a reminder that none of us stands alone. We are extensions of a tradition, beneficiaries of sacrifices, and trustees of knowledge that must be preserved and passed on with sincerity. I ask Allah to continue to bless this community, increase us in iman, grant us barakah in our wealth and health, and unite us upon goodness. Jazakumullahu khayran to the RII community for the trust and invitation. It is a blessing to be part of a community striving toward growth, and I pray that we all contribute meaningfully, each in our own capacity, toward its continued development. Today I'm open sourcing Qivam (qivam.com) 🎉. I built this so Muslim developers don't have to solve the same infrastructure problems from scratch. It's the kind of backend that every Islamic app needs but nobody wants to build twice. Qivam for now have masjid and prayer time related APIs, served through a clean REST API. The bones are strong and the roadmap is ambitious. Still early days — this is a work in progress and I wouldn't rely on it in production just yet. But I'm building it in public and I wanted to put it out there from the start.
