It’s probably preferable to take physics into account, when constructing a backyard zip line.

I went on a date tonight and it went really well. I am trying to measure my expectations and not get my hopes up too high, but I am optimistic. We are going out again in a couple weeks once my finals are over. This is the first time Ive felt good about dating since the divorce.

If your idea of promoting your church, is to attack my church, I’m going to assume that your church sucks. Why not talk about the virtues of your beliefs, instead of tearing down what you think are the inconsistencies/untruths of mine? Yours should be able to win out on its own merits, right?

@edlars53 @PoisonedFoon He thinks a man with a limp was on a full sprint for 3 miles carrying 60 or more lb plus golden plates

@hoopordie7777 @edlars53 God didn’t write the Bible. Men did. Fallible men. Men compiled the Bible. Fallible men. Men copied, translated, and interpreted the Bible. Fallible men. The mistake isn’t with God. It is, as always, with man. Sad that you don’t get that.

Are there contradictions in the Bible? I’ll save you time. Yes, there are. So knowing there are contradictions, what is the explanation? I’ll save you time again. It’s because the authors and compilers of the various books of the Bible were men, who made mistakes, or had different perspectives on what they saw. The Bible is divinely inspired, but not free from error. The Holy Ghost gives us the ability to recognize the truths that the Bible, and other scriptures, and revelations, have for us to learn.

@PoisonedFoon @edlars53 So if all scripture is God breathed and comes from God why does it contradict Mormon beliefs

@cdkkiss2017 Mine actually did have a spring stop at the end. I just didn’t take into account things like distance, angle, weight, etc. You know, the things that matter when trying to make a safe zipline!

If you’re going to contend that the Bible is true, because the Bible says it’s true, I’m going to correctly point out that that’s a circular argument. At some point, recognizing the truth of God, Christ, and scripture, has to come from a confirmation from the Holy Spirit, otherwise it’s just repeating and accepting what someone else told you is true.
