Did you know there’s a fish with a completely transparent head, and its eyes are glowing green tubes that roll around inside it?
The barreleye fish lives in the deep ocean, where it usually points those eyes straight upward to spot prey silhouetted above it, then rotates them forward when it moves in for the kill.
The two dark spots on the front of its face are not even its eyes. They’re its nostrils.
So yes, somewhere in the Pacific, a tiny alien periscope is casually swimming around like this is normal.

I received great news from the vet today! Despite Dobby being very sick a few days ago, his labs came back within normal range across the board. Kidney enzymes are barely within limits, and still highish, but still normal. That means the changes I've made have helped. Yay!!
My vet said most health problems in dogs are caused by poor quality dog food. I changed his food a week ago to human grade and not just dried kibble. I also started adding fresh water into his food because he's a princess and doesn't drink enough. ♥️♥️♥️
Rawhide gave my older girl, Luna, pancreatitis which has resolved and I believe Purina One started messing with Dobby's kidneys.

The boy was struggling and throwing up all night, so we had an early vet visit. More blood and more tests. 😭 After nausea meds and subcutaneous fluids he's sleeping for the first time since yesterday. I would be grateful if you'd say a prayer for Dobby. He's been having a rough go of it lately with his kidneys. 🙏
