The @ElectionsMv and the Maldives Police Service have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance security and coordination for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections scheduled for 4 April. The agreement, signed by ECM Chairman Mohamed Zahid and @PoliceMvCP Ismail Naveen, ensures comprehensive security arrangements to safeguard polling stations, election materials, and voters nationwide. The Maldives Police Service remains committed to maintaining peace, public order, and public confidence, and to supporting the conduct of free, fair, and transparent elections across the country.







CEO of the Maldives Qualification Authority, Mariyam Fizana Rasheed, along with senior officials from MQA, paid a courtesy call on @PoliceMvCP Ismail Naveen today. Discussions focused on the accreditation and quality assurance of courses conducted by the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, highlighting the importance of maintaining high academic and professional standards in Police education. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Executive Director of NCPLE, ACP Mohamed Basheer, along with other senior officers from NCPLE.

The Avatteri Beach Fest 2025, an initiative by Villimale’ Police, kicked off this morning and will continue until 15:00 today at Villimalé Beach. The event was graced by @PoliceMvCP Ismail Naveen, along with senior officers of the Maldives Police Service, showing support for community activities that bring people together. It’s a fun-filled beach day with water sports, games, music, and exciting activities for all ages. Come join the celebrations at Villimalé Beach and enjoy the day with family and friends.






Today, we marked the official commencement of construction of the R. Ungoofaaru Police Station, graced by H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and led by @min_mohst Ali Ihusaan and @PoliceMvCP Ismail Naveen. This milestone reflects our continued commitment to improving policing infrastructure, enhancing public safety, and strengthening community partnerships across the Maldives.

The Maldives Police Service are the champions of the Inter Office Volleyball Championship 2025 in the Men’s Division, winning the finals against STELCO with a clean 3–0 victory. The tournament was held from 3 to 11 December 2025 at the Ekuveni Turf Volley Court. Congratulations to our players for their hard work, discipline and team spirit. The Commissioner of Police expressed gratitude for the long-standing partnership and reaffirmed the MPS commitment to expanding joint efforts that enhance policing and national security. The meeting ended with a mutual understanding to explore more opportunities for collaboration in the future.
