@infoamfred Well, we're confident that our bees welcome dandelions, here's our video from a year ago. Yesterday we also saw at least 4 or 5 wild pollinators on our yellow dotted May lawns.

Thanks to everyone leaving their lawns for the bees. If you aren't sure it helps, watch these few old girls with just days left after lasting through the winter furiously collecting pollen and nectar!

@infoamfred Honey Bees are a critical link in the modern food chain. When dandelions first bloom, there is little else. As soon as better foods bloom, bees choose them. Telling the starving to not eat junk food today because the free buffet will open in a few weeks is misguided.

@ShiftNB One of our little hard working angels is absolutely gaining much needed nectar from this dandelion. Junk food as opposed to us having to feed sugar to keep them alive in the brutally harsh NB springs? Few native plants are flowering when dandelions are saving bees.
