I just heard that in Otueke, the community intentionally told NEPA not to give them light so that they can make money selling cold water, drinks and pay charge from students A federal university is located in the community They also recently ban bikes so the community are buying keke to use to make money from students They said it is only when Ex president Goodluck Jonathan is around that they have light in the community Because that’s his hometown Aside that period, you can never see light in Otueke community

In Nigeria, the law doesn’t always look the same everywhere Adultêry is treated as a cr!me in Northern Nigeria, but in Southern Nigeria, it’s not a crim!nal offence. Same country completely different legal realities. Did you know this before now, or this is your first time hearing it? 🤔👇

One thing I’ve noticed on my street has been surprising me lately. Most times when I step out to buy groceries or something small from the shops around, I usually pay with transfer. I hardly carry cash. So I’ll just finish buying, tell the shop owner, “I’ve sent the money.” What surprises me is this… Most of them don’t even check immediately. No looking at their POS machine. No checking alerts. They just nod and say, “Okay.” Then they move on like the payment is already confirmed. At first I thought maybe it was just one shop. But I’ve noticed the same thing with different shops on the street. Same pattern. I say I’ve transferred… they just believe me. Sometimes they only check much later. Now I keep wondering. Is it because they see my face around the area all the time? Or maybe they think I don’t look like someone who would cheat them? Or maybe… that’s just how they treat everyone?

I’m financially okay, even with the failing economy. But my mom still thinks I’m struggling. Last month, I sent her ₦250,000 for upkeep. I even shared some personal struggles with her and asked her to pray for me. Then, on Wednesday, I got a video sent to my WhatsApp from a relative. It was a clip of my mom at a church program—one of those televised services—where the pastor was prophesying and called my name. Before I could even process it, my mom ran up to the altar and started telling the pastor that I’m struggling, that all my friends have married and built houses, but no matter what I do, things just don’t work for me. Mind you, this was on live television. She just publicly aired my personal problems—things I confided in her privately. Now, everyone back home knows what I’m going through. I can’t even go home without people talking about it. My private struggles are all over the streets. I called her and yelled at her about it, and since then, she refuses to pick up my calls. I’m honestly so confused about what to do.

There is no way you can separate her from what her father and brother did. She is no different from them so she is as responsible for that poor girl's death as her rvpist father and brother. The whole family needs to be locked up perpetually. They are all animals.

As the solicitor to the family of the late Ochanya, I have been hesitant and very cautious about making public statements regarding this tragic case. However, people have been tagging and reaching out to me for clarifications. @Winifunds has very serious questions to answer regarding what she knows about the circumstances of the death of Miss Ochanya. I have attached certified excerpts from the judgement of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, delivered on 28th April, 2022 in the charge filed by NAPTIP against Mrs. Felicia Ogbuja (Winifred’s mother). Mrs Felicia was convicted and sentenced to five months imprisonment for failing to protect the late Ochanya who was under her care. If you read page 14 of the judgement, you will see that Winifred’s name came up in the course of the proceedings. A witness testified under oath that Winifred caught her brother (Victor Ogbuja), who is still on the run, and reported to their father, Mr. Andrew Ogbuja. Based on what I know, Winifred refused or failed to cooperate with the investigators. She failed to make a statement regarding her role in the case. Efforts by investigators to get to her proved abortive. If she had cooperated, it would have likely had a profound impact on the quest for justice for Ochanya. That is all that I can say at this time.

That lawyer said Winifred refused to make a statement regarding the case. And her statement would have had an impact on the quest for justice for Ochanya because she caught her brother räpíng the poor girl.
