I dont enter trades planning to roll because it causes leakage. Plus 30-45 days gives me most theta decay plus time to manage since I’m fully invested. If it the stock pop IV crushes I close next day. If it stays flat I let theta decay. If it goes down then either roll, reassess or take delivery.
