Pilot 4 in the @PrimusProjectEu focuses on upgrading sulphur-crosslinked EPDM from end-of-life washing machine seals to create a new door seal with 20% recycled content. ♻️ We’re testing advanced methods like milling, thermo-mechanical, cryogenic, and chemical reclaiming to find the best formulation that meets OEM requirements. Pilot 3 in the @PrimusProjectEu focused on upgrading recycled HIPS from refrigerator liners, achieving 70% recycled content. Using the VAREX line, we modified impact properties for re-application in household appliances and food contact applications by @CoolrecBV. Safety and migration tests were carried out at @VTTFinland, with analysis conducted at UEF to ensure compliance with standards. Pilot 2 in the @PrimusProjectEu focuses on r-PP/EPDM (r-TPV) for automotive cooling circuits, with 20% to 40% recycled content. We're upgrading recycled PP & EPDM using dynamic vulcanization in a twin-screw compounder to create a TPV compound that meets automotive requirements.
