@Shuttle__T Its honestly not that bad, the soft tissue and pigmentation of the papers reconstruction is just hideous. The actual new anatomy is nice, will just take some getting used to.
English

@rlatkdwls This looks so much better, the recon in the paper is so ugly
English

@webvein Its not, what you've typed here is accurate. Most reptiles have larger males or no difference in size.
English

I keep seeing this factoid, anyone figure out if it’s actually true?
Like how do we quantify it, bc from a quick google most lizards (approx 7k species) and crocodilians (like 40) males are bigger than females, but most snakes (around 4k) and testudines (200) females are bigger.

Females are (usually) larger and stronger in reptiles and arachnids. They are (usually) smaller in mammals and birds. So if dragons are reptiles, it's plausible that the females are bigger.

@paxdagoat21 @LauraSophiaMill @Axel1850998 @_Dracoleon_ @DelusionPosting ? This supports what I was saying lmao, can you tell left from right?
English

@PrinceVermilion @LauraSophiaMill @Axel1850998 @_Dracoleon_ @DelusionPosting 1 example versus the average.

English

@pooldooldleno @romrot_mechanik @DelusionPosting Most reptiles have larger males only really snakes and turtles do the inverse
English

@romrot_mechanik @DelusionPosting do you know what ‘usually’ means?
English

@FixYouthsFuture @GiveKills @fyre_n_desire @DelusionPosting Wrong, males are larger than(or the same size) as females in the majority of reptile species
English

@GiveKills @fyre_n_desire @DelusionPosting And in reptiles (what dragons are) the females ARE larger retard
English

@quimicayalgo @romrot_mechanik @K1wiVT @DelusionPosting The examples you gave are correct, but your conclusion was not. While most snakes and turtles/tortoises have larger females, most other lizards, crocodillians and birds have larger (and often flashier) males than females
English

@romrot_mechanik @K1wiVT @DelusionPosting Barbour's Map Turtles, Green Anacondas and Thorny Devils for example, many more cases, female-biased SSD (sexual size dimorphism) is the most common case in reptiles.
English

@SandyofCthulhu Actually, almost all reptile groups have larger males or no size differences. Only notable exceptions are snakes, birds of prey, and chelonians (turtles/tortoises)
English

Females are (usually) larger and stronger in reptiles and arachnids. They are (usually) smaller in mammals and birds.
So if dragons are reptiles, it's plausible that the females are bigger.

@bubzillion_ @Lust_If_Peak Oh, yeah that sounds like a shitty person
English

@PrinceVermilion @Lust_If_Peak Shits on anything that's not re zero and gives the re zero fanbase bad rep
English

@Lust_If_Peak What did they do? I don't really involve myself with the fandom outside of fanart and memes
