3rd Project ProSPeReS consortium meeting in Athens

We are deeply saddened and outraged by today's attack in front of the parliament in #Turkey . We strongly condemn all forms of violence and #terrorism, which have no justification in our beliefs or any other religion or ideology. We pray for Allah to grant peace and serenity to the Turkish people in this time of great sorrow.

The pilot training taking place as part of the ProSPeReS project has just begun in Warsaw. During the first day of the workshop, our experts taught clergy and people managing security in religious communities how to recognize and respond to potential threats in religious sites.

The first Prosperes project pilot training organized by Archdiocese of Lodz and University of Lodz with contribution of Jewish Community of Warsaw, Social Observatory, Lodz Regional Police, Warsaw Municipality Police stared on 31st of May.

Pilot training of the ProSPeReS project has begun. From May 31, 2023 - June 2, 2023, a training course is being held at the Seminary of the Archdiocese of Lodz, which will present the solutions developed in the field of improving the security of the faithful.

As part of the ProSPeReS project, an international group of experts is preparing online trainings that will raise awareness and knowledge useful to increase the level of safety of religious places while respecting their mission and operating rules.

Miejsca kultu są ważne dla wierzących i są miejscami modlitwy. Często są ważnymi symbolami kulturowymi i historycznymi, które przyciągają turystów i stanowią część europejskiego dziedzictwa. @ProSPeReS1 koncentruje się na maksymalizacji bezpieczeństwa miejsc kultu religijnego.

The places of worship are important for the belivers and are places of prayer. They are often important cultural and historical symbols that attract tourists and are part of Europe's heritage. @ProSPeReS1 project is focus to maximise security places of worship.

Events around the world indicate that the protection of religious sites should be strengthened. In Spain, two churches were attacked in the city of Algeciras. As a result of the actions of the attacker, one person was killed and four were injured. theguardian.com/world/2023/jan…

On 29 and 30 November the ProSPeReS consortium gathered in Nicosia, Cyprus for its 5th General Assembly. After working closely together online, our security experts from various countries across the EU now had the opportunity to discuss the project’s progress in person.

The second day of workshop organized by The Dutch Institute for Safe and Secure Space (DISSS) and the University of Lodz in The Hague as part of the ProSPeReS project. Today have placed a coordinators Project meeting and visiting worship places.
