Pretty interesting that someone THIS socially conservative (on this issue and many others) suddenly woke up and felt like a Liberal. Floor crossings happen, but it’s incredibly interesting the Liberals would accept someone like this in caucus just to get closer to a majority.

Three years into their marriage, she was diagnosed with ALS. Twenty years later, he’s still by her side. Her smile says it all. 🥰❤️

@gill_godwin It’s all just clickbait capitalizing on all the anti-Canadian sentiment being drummed up in the U.S. right now. If you click on the stories, there is virtually no information contained in the articles - they’re all just subjective rants. All to sell ads.

@gill_godwin Newsweek is just tabloid journalism now. They posted 5 anti-Canada hit pieces on our men’s hockey and curling teams versus just two stories about the U.S. winning gold. And four of the Canadian hit pieces were posted before they even commented on the U.S. team at all.

Newsweek’s X account today posted 5 hit pieces on Canada’s men’s hockey team + a hit piece on the Canadian men’s curling team vs. just 2 stories on the U.S. team winning gold. What is going on over there?! Two of the Canada stories were posted before they even mentioned US gold.

Can you imagine (essentially) the Commissioner of the RCMP partying in the Canadian locker room in Italy had they won that game? Yeah, me neither. But the FBI director is just there partying in the U.S. locker room? 😂 Talk about trying to add your name to work you didn’t do…

No excuse for this either from McDavid. You’re wearing the “C” for this game and you don’t speak to the media after? Come on. MacKinnon did, Doughty did, even Crosby did. If you’re wearing the “C,” show some leadership. Explain what you did in the OT period. Own it.

@iHumblySubmit I said his performance in OT was selfish, which is not unfair. I said nothing of his character - that’s a massive leap. The team that continued playing as a team (not as individuals) ended up winning the game. That’s a way better example for young players than what Canada did.

@ProfLalonde Tactical discussions are part of the game. Questioning McDavid’s character ("selfish") after the performance he just put together isn’t. He emptied the tank for that jersey. We should be proud and supportive of all these players.

Both the Canadian women and men completely botched 3 on 3 in OT during this Olympics. Everyone trying to score the golden goal rather than maintaining puck possession and setting up an odd man rush (standard 3 on 3 strategy). McDavid was selfish in that period and blew it twice.

@iHumblySubmit If you watch hockey, then you know they botched the 3 on 3 strategy. The U.S. on the other hand played it perfect and earned two odd man rushes with one resulting in the game winner. You just can’t go for a 1 on 3 in OT like McDavid tried - you’re not going through 3 defenders.

@ProfLalonde When you’re the best player on the ice, you’re also the one expected to make something happen. That line between “hero” and “selfish” gets drawn pretty easily from a sofa.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for OpenAI’s leadership. Makes you wonder what other horrific queries people are making if they decided to ultimately not contact law enforcement about the BC school shooter. Privacy is important, but so too is public safety. Legislation needed.

This is absolutely nuts. The British Columbia school shooter's ChatGPT messages weren't just flagged by the automated system, but **a dozen OpenAI employees reviewed and debated them** wsj.com/us-news/law/op…

Ah yes, the old STEM to police, fire, corrections, by-law enforcement, court officer, dispatcher, trucking, public transit operator, child care, cook, social worker, psychologist, food processing, construction, etc. pipeline 🙄 STEM is great, but we NEED other areas of study!

Wow, in the UK, disgraced politicians still resign! I thought resigning in shame was a thing of the past. What with all the constant worldwide financial, ethical, and legal scandals and seemingly zero accountability anywhere.

The Liberal government took the guardrails off international student migration only to suddenly slap them back on virtually without notice. And now, of course, this government will do nothing for a struggling post-secondary sector of their own creation. cbc.ca/news/canada/no…
