On this International #ZeroWasteDay we share some highlights ✨ from our interventions to tackle #FoodWaste at our MRF turning into valuable compost for farmers. Food waste represents a major climate and environmental threat emitting 14% of global #methane emissions.

The FLOWERS project targets mitigation of #Methane, black carbon & CO2 by assessing & improving the management of organic waste Through the project, our #ZeroWaste model, we'll be continuing to unlock potentials in organic waste management. #ZeroWaste #MethaneAction #Organics

The organic waste management facility will feature a BSF Farm based on the SIMBA model, a larger composting section, a chicken farm, a garden, 2 training spaces, among other facilities & we're keeping the forest as a recreation ground. #GoForZeroWaste #MethaneAction #Organics

Ahead of starting the FLOWERS project, we hosted Dr. Daniela Peguero from @EawagResearch and Bram Dortmans from ECLOSE. @EndPlasticsNow has acquired 1 acre of land to establish an organic waste management demonstration hub. #ZeroWaste #MethaneAction #Organics #ClimateAction

We're gearing up for our next Youth Zero Waste Training 2.0 where we'll be hosting youth from Masuulita Students Community to participate in the training. Youth will be introduced to the core principles of zero waste, learning practical and actionable practices. @EndPlasticsNow

We hosted the Masuulita Students Community representatives ahead of our planned Youth Zero Waste Training 2.0 where we'll be educating and mentoring a new cohort of #Youth4ZeroWaste #EndPlasticPollution #OrganicsManagement

Through the #Youth4ZeroWaste training 2.0 Youth will be introduced to the core principles of zero waste, learning practical and actionable practices. Youth are an ideal group with energy and ideas to become powerful advocates and actors for a waste-free world 🌍.
