The No Kings Act (SB 747) is up for a vote in the CA State Senate today. As similar bills move forward in states across the country, CA now has the chance to lead by closing the federal accountability loophole and ensuring there are remedies if federal agents violate our rights.

Criminal justice reform is not a moment; it’s a mission. The recent election showed that voters continue to embrace principles of reform because they know the traditional system falls short on delivering safety, accountability, and justice. Reform is here to stay. @LAist
