My opinion about what happened at the Pokémon World Cup in Yokohama. I premise that my team was 100% legit but that cost me 9 hours of breeding and playing my Day2 with only 3 hours of sleep. That's the point, the only advantage genning brings is the time required to get competitive Pokémon. Now I wonder wouldn't it be better for the game developer to provide quick and modern means of getting competitive Pokémon in game, instead of disqualifying so many players some on mere suspicion and even 5 year olds. Do we want to talk about Urshifu? Well if a player starts playing competitively on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, qualifies for the world championship and maybe hasn't bought and played Pokémon Sword and Shield before, how should he get Urshifu? By paying to buy the game + DLC in order to get a single Pokémon? Indeedee with Trick Room which is literally a bug in the game is legit because they are incapable of admitting their mistakes. It took 3 months to fix Dondozo's Order Up, which in the process made so many Top Cuts with a heavily buggy move, these things are fine though. This also seems ridiculous to me. Not to mention the entirely disconnected Top16. I don't want to talk about this thing because I could be insulting heavily. Instead of acting like a notorious secret police by picking up players, children during a Bo3 and not at the end (another outrageous thing), wouldn't it be more productive to fix the game and provide faster and more modern means to produce Pokémon in game for competitive play? Instead in 2023 we still have games where it is not possible to see the exact numerical value of the IVs, it makes me cry. I want to close by saying that the judges should not be blamed, they are just the executors. They need to start making better decisions at the top

Genning Many agree that it makes the game more accessible and it's not a "competitive advantage" since anyone can easily find a discord bot for free genning. However, no one managed to find a counterargument to "the rules state that you can't do it so it's wrong", so here I am.
