@SavageKairn @Profess48893722 That's a great quote. Not sure I have any advice, as I consider my characters right now and feel like they may be facing some repetitive challenges rather than escalating.

At times, I get stuck in repetition, not escalation. “A story is not about something else going wrong; it’s about something worse going wrong.” Steven James. I need to intensify the character's struggles, instead of piling on tragedy after tragedy. How do you escalate? #writing

I write Fantasy mainly because I don’t want to do research. Little confession there.
