The master narrative: In his 1st year of high school, Colby's Dad died of cancer. Yesterday, in his final high school race & on the day before Father's Day, Colby led off the greatest 4*8 in Illinois history. "I felt my dad out there...and that was my Father's Day gift to him."

This young man died today while at school. He was killed while attempting to disarm an active shooter. RIP Tate Myre. You didn’t deserve this, but your efforts were truly heroic.
