And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless

@Pyrao Even mainstream games that era were absolutely amazing(including fall/winter ‘07): Halo 3, Cod4-Blops2, Fallout 3/NV, Skyrim, Bioshock series, Mass Effect, BF Bad Company 1/2, so many more I can’t even remember. We were truly blessed and didn’t even know it at the time 🥹

I think most people underestimate how radical the ethical philosophy of #Socrates and #Stoicism is. The Stoics think almost everyone is completely wrong about the most important question in life, assuming the goal of life is wealth, glory, pleasure, etc. rather than wisdom.

The Rosetta Stone blows my mind. Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs unlocked through Ancient Greek. What are the chances we even found it. A random discovery by soldiers in 1799 changed how we read an entire civilization.
