#OTD in 1901 Annie Edson Taylor climbed into a barrel and went over Niagara Falls. The 1st to do it. She survived. It was her 63rd birthday. Annie was broke, facing old age in the poor house & hoped to make a fortune. She didn't. Her manager later stole her barrel.

Glad I made it to @QueenoftheMist - what a marathon lead role, pulled off with punchy panache by @TrudiCamilleri, aided by a crack cast and band. Making a splash in the face of mortality is something we can all relate to - great themes and a restless, urgent score.
