Virginia voters have spoken, and tonight they pushed back against a President who claims he is ‘entitled’ to more Republican seats in Congress. As we watched other states go along with those demands without voter input, Virginians refused to let that stand. We responded the right way: at the ballot box.

Not war crimes. Just straight up crimes carried about by the U.S. military, on the orders of Trump and Hegseth.

Our nation promised we would welcome our Afghan allies who helped American troops during the war—and put their families in danger in the process. Trump has been callously breaking that promise for no real reason, but now he's trying to make them choose between facing certain death from the Taliban or moving into one of the world's worst refugee crises. Unconscionable.

YES has won in Virginia; voters approved constitutional amendment to adopt Dems' congressional gerrymander. This is likely to deliver a 10-1 (Dem) congressional delegation in November, compared to 6-5 (Dem) now. Remaining obstacle: State supreme court will be weighing in still.

Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.

This is the kind of betrayal a nation carries out when its leaders don't believe in the concept of allies and views promises as something for suckers. It also makes our armed forces less safe. No nation will ever trust us again. Why should they? We stab our friends in the back.

Tonight we will take another vote to end Trump's disastrous Iran war. Republicans will oppose it. They will spend today trying to distract you (like pretending they've never heard of sarcasm). Trump's war is making Iran more powerful. That's a disaster. And Republicans want to talk about anything other than their blind support for a war that is ruining our economy, setting the world on fire, giving Iran control of the Strait, and drawing Iran/Russia/China closer together. PA’s Commonwealth Court just struck down a ban on Medicaid coverage for abortion care. This was only possible thanks to Pennsylvanians protecting our courts last year and the hard work of advocates at @PPAdvocatesPA, @WomensLawProj, and several other health providers. #PACourtsMatter

Indiana accepted student IDs for voting for nearly twenty years. The state passed a law banning them. A federal judge found the law likely unconstitutional and noted Indiana presented zero evidence the IDs had ever caused a problem. "SB 10 looks more like a solution in search of a problem." That is the district court's direct language. The Seventh Circuit reinstated the ban with no explanation. Primary voting is already underway. Students who relied on last week's ruling to cast ballots may now be turned away. The lower court said that harm cannot be undone after the election passes. The appeals court did not address that finding.
