@YouAreMyArsenal @IanDarke Anyone with a brain knows it’s a foul & correct decision. The reason so many are taking the opposite stance is hardly to do with the rules/laws but that they are embarrassed that a correct decision went in Arsenal’s favour & now we are closer to the title than ever before.

@IanDarke Ian those other offences are irrelevant in IFAB Law 5 it clearly states “If more than one offence occurs at the same time, the referee penalises the more serious offence…” - in this case grabbing the GK arm is the more serious offence

To be clear, the foul by Pablo isn't like and other examples that are being shared.
Pablo has his arm fully across the goalkeeper, holding the opposite arm.
This clearly limits Raya's ability to claim or play the ball and is markedly different to other goals that have stood.

Raya’s arm was actually held and his shirt heavily pulled from behind too.

It was a foul on Raya and it stopped him getting the ball. Has his arms held down throughout. It is a clear and obvious error by the officials. Really tough on West Ham (and Man City) but I don’t think it’s controversial #arsenal

@sampilger Why’s that not an obvious error by the ref? Do you think he saw a shirt pull & an arm across the neck which was also holding Raya’s right arm in real time? Shouldn’t he be shown the replay to take the right decision there? People just act like idiots sometimes. Be better.

Arsenal have got very, very lucky there. It isn't an obvious error by the referee or obvious foul on David Raya, certainly not one VAR should overturn.
