@CraigHorbinski @NeurosurgeryNM @NU_Pathology @neuropathology It has those bipolar hair-like processes (piloid) and that bright eosinophilic body (despite the minimal staining of eosin) - probably a Rosenthal fiber or egb? So thinking a pilocytic astro. Ddx could also include fibrous meningioma or schwannoma?

The #forensic #neuropath session to open #neuropath2021 yesterday was a great start. I especially enjoyed Dr. #RebeccaFolkerth talk on #SIDS SUID SUDC with beautiful 5HT autoradiography and the reminder that unsafe sleep environment is the rule rather than the exception.

Excited to join #neuropath2021 virtually. I just enjoyed a great talk about white matter hyperintensities in Alzheimer's disease by @AdamMBrickman. I'm curious if the parietal predilection is due to susceptibility of the cerebrovascular supply there vs anatomic differences.
