In this talk, a joint event with @RLHS1985 , Stephen Bartlett looks at how one of Kew’s previously hidden and rural estates was transformed after 1875 into the residential area we know today. Entrance is free to members, non-members £5.

60 years ago this month, the Rolling Stones became Sunday night residents at Richmond's Station Hotel (the Crawdaddy Club). What the Cavern was to the Beatles, the Crawdaddy was to the Rolling Stones. Hear more on Mon 13 Feb, Duke St Church, Richmond at 8pm (doors open 7:30).

#Onthisday 24th May 1819 Queen Victoria was born. She was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 until her death in 1901. Here is an 1855 Penny from our collection which shows a youthful portrait, with her hair in a bun with two ribbons. #QueenVictoria
